వనపర్తి జిల్లా పెబ్బేరు పట్టణ పరిధిలోని ప్రభుత్వ మహిళా పాలిటెక్నిక్ కళాశాల హాస్టల్లో ఫుడ్ పాయిజన్ అయింది. రాత్రి డిన్నర్‌లో చికెన్ తిన్న దాదాపు 40 నుంచి 50 మంది విద్యార్థినులు ఫుడ్ పాయిజన్‌తో తీవ్ర అస్వస్థతకు గురయ్యారు. విషయం బయటకు రాకుండా వార్డెన్ గుట్టుచప్పుడు కాకుండా 'వైరల్ ఫీవర్' అంటూ కప్పిపుచ్చే ప్రయత్నం చేశారు. వార్త సోషల్ మీడియాలో వైరల్ అవ్వడంతో స్థానిక మున్సిపల్ ఛైర్మన్ శ్రీనివాస్ గౌడ్, ఇతర నేతలు కళాశాలను సందర్శించారు. సమయానికి అంబులెన్స్ లేకపోవడంతో ఓ విద్యార్థినిని మున్సిపల్ ఛైర్మన్ తన కారులోనే పీహెచ్‌సీకి తరలించారు. భాద్యులైన వార్డెన్‌పై కఠిన చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని స్థానికులు, విద్యార్థుల తల్లిదండ్రులు డిమాండ్ చేస్తున్నారు. Around 40 to 50 female students fell ill due to suspected food poisoning after eating chicken for dinner at the Women's Polytechnic College Hostel in Pebberu, Wanaparthy district. The hostel warden allegedly attempted to cover up the incident by claiming it was viral fever. Local leaders, including Municipal Chairperson Srinivas Goud, visited the college. Due to the non-availability of an ambulance at the time, a severely ill student was rushed to the hospital in the chairperson's car.
