I Left Teaching 3 Years Ago… Then I Found These Letters From My Students ❤️ | Teacher’s Day

I left teaching 3 years ago… but I never really left my students. ❤️ While organising my husband’s library, I came across an old envelope. Out of curiosity, I opened it — and found something I never expected to treasure this much. Letters written by my students. 🥹 Over the years, while teaching in different schools across Bengaluru and Chikmagalur, I received hundreds of letters, greeting cards, gifts, flowers, pens and countless little expressions of love from my students. Unfortunately, many of those memories were lost while shifting homes. But I managed to preserve some of them. So, on this Teacher’s Day, I decided to sit down, open those letters and read them again. Some made me smile. Some took me straight back to my classroom. And some reminded me just how powerful the bond between a teacher and a student can be. ❤️ In this video, I also share a very special experience involving one of my students. At the beginning of the year, I told the child: “I’m counting on you.” It was just one sentence. But that sentence changed the way the child looked at their own ability and eventually helped bring a positive change in their performance. Sometimes, we teachers don't realise how much our words can stay with a child. Even after leaving teaching, I continue to receive messages from my former students telling me that they still remember the stories I narrated in class, the lessons I taught and the little things I said. And that made me realise something… The greatest investment a teacher can make is an investment in their students. Because the return isn't money. It is love, respect, memories and a connection that can last a lifetime. ❤️ This video is my little Thank You to all my students — from every school, every classroom and every chapter of my teaching journey.
