Jump lesson 20th May 2017

Im very new to this horse and I had the groom warning me to be careful with this horse because the previous 2 riders who jumped her, fell and had some bad injuries. So naturally i was quite tensed in my lesson, i realised that i stiffen up , was quite defensive, thus sometimes falling back while the horse jumps. As im new with this horse, instructor wanted us to jump something smaller than my usual jump height.. i find myself not giving enough hands over the jumps too. Overall my experience with this horse is not too bad or maybe its just my lucky day. This mare tends to favour falling out towards the outside hence if you noticed, even thou i guided her into the centre of the jumps.. she will ease her way to the outer side. And she is way too lazy, i had to use plenty of legs just to get her going, she was quite adamant about exiting the arena and kept trying to pull me towards the gate. So far so good today. Woot... im safe !!!
