In today’s family and daily life vlog, I take you on a night walk through the famous Sindhi Hotel Market in Karachi, also known as the Chappal Market. This market is full of footwear, shopping items, wedding decoration, fruits, vegetables, meat, spices and many other everyday things. We start our walk from the Chappal Market, where I check different footwear prices. Gents chappals are available for around 800 PKR, while ladies’ footwear starts from around 700 PKR. We also find fresh EVA rubber sandals for around 1,000 PKR per pair. Moving further, we explore the area near Chand Market, where you can find bangles, flowers, wedding decoration items and beautiful jhalars. From there, we cross the road and head towards the Sabzi Market. The night market has plenty to see, including fruit shops and stalls. We find Amri Gold apples for around 250 PKR per kilo and newly available Langra mangoes for around 200 PKR per kilo. We also explore dry fruit shops and other local businesses along the way. As we continue walking, we reach the large vegetable and meat market. Different vegetables and fruits are available, including raw mangoes, lemons, onions, garlic, ginger and much more. The market stretches a long way, with many vendors and stalls on both sides. We also come across a Bakra Mandi and several Pansaar shops selling herbs, spices and traditional products. Finally, we stop at a famous Shikarpuri Achar stall. The seller tells us that this is authentic Shikarpur pickle, including garlic pickle, green chilli pickle and mixed achar. The price is around 100 PKR per quarter kilo, or approximately 400 PKR per kilo. This Karachi market walk gives you a real look at the variety, prices and atmosphere of a busy local market at night.
