Today I’m sharing a special recipe I found tucked away in my mom’s recipe box—Frosted Fruit Bars! These soft, buttery bars are packed with golden raisins, candied fruit, chopped pecans, orange zest, warm spices, and topped with a sweet frosting that makes them extra special. This recipe felt like a little time capsule, and I knew I had to bring it back to life—with just a few little changes of my own. If you love old-fashioned recipes, vintage baking, and family favorites, I think you’re going to love these. I hope you enjoy this little trip through Mom’s recipe box with me today! Frosted Fruit Bars Ingredients: 1 cup butter, softened 1 cup granulated sugar 2 eggs 3 cups all-purpose flour 1 cup golden raisins 1 cup candied fruit 1 cup chopped pecans 1/4 cup fresh squeezed orange juice Zest of 2 medium oranges (about 1 tablespoon) 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/8 teaspoon Fiori di Sicilia 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg 1/2 teaspoon cloves 1/2 teaspoon allspice 1/2 teaspoon salt For the frosting: 2 cups powdered sugar 3 tablespoons softened butter 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 teaspoon orange zest Pinch of salt 2 to 4 tablespoons orange juice or milk, as needed Directions: 1.
