Mother Falls never looks quite the same twice. Every big typhoon pushes more boulders down into the basin, so the pool gets a little shallower and rockier each time. We've been coming here for years. My first time, the river was so high we had to cross it on a rope. This trip was the opposite. It was pretty calm and easy, with around 6 bridges that help with river crossings. If you're planning to go 👇 📍 Ditumabo, San Luis, Aurora. About 30 to 40 minutes from Baler ⏰ Open 7 AM to 5 PM, so go early 💸 ₱30 entrance. A guide is required, ₱300 for up to five people, paid after the trek (prices from our July visit) 👟 Wear shoes with grip that you don't mind getting soaked, and bring a dry bag 🌧️ After heavy rain, the guides may turn you back at the river, and their call is final The guides are from Ditumabo, and so are the people who rebuild the bridges every time a typhoon washes them out. So your fees go right back into the trail. #ditumabofalls #motherfalls #auroraphilippines #baleraurora #philippinewaterfalls #waterfallhike #philippinestravel --- Project Malaya.
