Is the Cordillera Huayhuash the best trek in the world? After 5 days of pushing my limits at nearly 5,000 meters (16,000+ ft), the answer is a resounding YES—but it comes at a price. In this video, I’m sharing my real, unfiltered experience through the Cordillera Huayhuash in Peru. From the grueling 10-hour bus ride from Lima to the transcendent golden sunrises over massive glaciers, I'm showing you the side of trekking that Instagram often hides. We faced extreme cold, altitude sickness that made our heads feel like they were exploding, and the mental battle of pushing through 16km days when every breath felt like a challenge. But we also saw the most incredible night sky of our lives and read books in front of "Icy Giants."
