Winter is knocking on the door, and farm routines get a lot more unpredictable. Join us for two days on the farm as we face freezing conditions, rain-soaked pastures, stubborn horses, and an eye-opening safety test. The first signs of winter always change the rhythm here on the farm. Cold air, damp pastures, and horses that give you that look: "Why would we ever want to leave our cozy stalls today?" Come along for two transitional days between autumn and winter. Alongside the peaceful moments—like a crisp, frosty morning filling the feeders and watching the birds—farm life also means constantly thinking ahead. Barn safety, especially an emergency evacuation plan for the animals, has been keeping me awake at night. We test our current setup in practice to see how it works in reality, and look at the small but crucial details that still need to be modified and improved. I’ll also show you the finished changes to my hay shredder, check in on the sheep, and head out into the rain for a personal pickup to bring Peter home. Grab a warm cup of tea and join us for two quiet, honest days on the farm. ☕🌾 -------------------------------------------------- TIMESTAMPS: 00:00 First snow in the air (Day 1) 00:34 Horses don't want to go out 03:39 Hay for the stables 04:41 Horses come back from the pasture 06:29 Day 1 ends with rain 06:44 Frosty morning (Day 2) 07:07 Filling the bird feeders & watching the birds 08:40 Showing the changes to my hay shredder 10:54 A new place for the bird feeders 11:06 Watching the birds & talking about stable safety 12:56 Testing the stable evacuation system 20:08 What didn't work with the evacuation 23:19 Sheep and black flies 23:57 Rain again – horses come back from the pasture 25:24 Where is Peter?
