GOD TOLD ME TO GIVE AWAY ALL THE MONEY WE RAISED FOR OUR CHURCH | Dag Heward-Mills

Bishop Dag Heward-Mills breaks open the familiar verse 'give and it shall be given unto you' and asks the uncomfortable question: why has it not worked for so many people? He explains that scriptures remain dead letters until faith brings them alive, the same way 'you must be born again' sat dormant for centuries until believers began to truly emphasise it. Then he tells the story of the day God told him to hand over every cent they had raised for their first church building - give it all to the visiting pastor. They had no building at all, just a canteen. He obeyed in faith, and by the grace of God they have now built over a thousand church buildings. That is what happens when giving moves from pity to faith.
