If fog lights watts are more than headlight watts, then it's considered as a illegal, but it's a debatable point. How would anyone measure the voltage of headlight? Moreover, the main point is that 80% Indian Roads are not properly constructed and having small, big, very bigger potholes. Therefore, for rider's & pillion's safety during the night ride, proper visibility of road is must required. Flashing & and fancy colour (other than Amber/yellow) fog lights are also illegal in Bharat.
