Roots Reggae (1981) [Unreleased Album] Ras Gideon - Herbs Of The Nation

🎙️ Ras Gideon – Herbs Of The Nation Roots Reggae (1981) [Unreleased Album] Roots Reggae | Herbal Meditation | Conscious Chant | Lost Tapes *Herbs Of The Nation* is a deep, meditative roots-reggae session from conscious chanter **Ras Gideon**, recorded in 1981 during the golden age of spiritual roots music in Jamaica. The album reflects the sacred relationship between the Rastafari movement, nature, and the healing herb — celebrated not as escape, but as a spiritual sacrament and cultural symbol of wisdom, unity, and reasoning. Built upon heavy **one-drop riddims**, rolling basslines, and hypnotic **Nyabinghi-inspired percussion**, Ras Gideon delivers calm yet powerful chants that speak of natural living, spiritual clarity, and the collective strength of the people. His voice carries a warm, grounded tone, moving like a sermon over roots rhythms that feel both earthy and timeless. Songs like *“Herbs Of The Nation,” “Sacred Chalice Burning,”* and *“Meditation Under Zion Sky”* celebrate the herb as a source of healing and reasoning, while *“Babylon Can’t Stop the Roots”* and *“Wisdom From the Earth”* remind listeners of the deeper spiritual path Rastafari represents. Recorded live to *analog tape* with a small but powerful Kingston roots band, the album carries the rich warmth of vintage reggae production — deep bass vibrations, dusty drum grooves, and swirling studio echo that give the music its mystical atmosphere. Though never officially released, *Herbs Of The Nation* became a whispered legend among collectors and sound system selectors who spoke of a lost Ras Gideon session filled with conscious roots fire and herbal meditation. A true rootsman recording — calm, spiritual, and deeply connected to the earth. #RootsReggae #RasGideon #HerbsOfTheNation #UnreleasedReggae #VintageReggae #LostReggaeTapes #HerbalMeditation #RastaMusic #ConsciousReggae #ReggaeRoots #ClassicReggae #RootsRockReggae #AnalogReggae #ReggaeVinyl #Nyabinghi #ReggaeCulture #DubRoots #ReggaeCollectors #ReggaeRevival
