BYARANGWIRIRIYE is a deeply emotional Rwandan song about survival, separation, loss, forgiveness, and the grace of God.
There are moments in life when you don't leave because you want to—you leave because you have no choice.
I left my country without saying goodbye to my family, friends, and the people I loved. I was running for my life after witnessing people I knew being killed during the violence around me. I saw suffering that I will never forget.
I disappeared without explaining.
I could not say goodbye.
I could not tell anyone where I was going.
I simply had to survive.
For everyone who wondered what happened to me, and for those who may have felt abandoned by my silence, I am deeply sorry.
I did not leave because I wanted to forget anyone.
I left because I was trying to stay alive.
And today, after everything I went through, I can say one thing with gratitude:
🙏 I AM ALIVE — THANK GOD.
This song is my personal testimony and a message to everyone who has experienced war, displacement, loss, separation, fear, or the pain of leaving home without saying goodbye.
It is also a reminder that even in the darkest moments, God can preserve a life and give someone another day to tell their story.
If you have ever had to leave your home unexpectedly, lost someone you loved, or wondered what happened to someone who disappeared, may this song speak to your heart.
Please listen, share this song, and help this testimony reach someone who needs hope.

I left without saying goodbye.
But by God's grace, I survived.
I am still here.
🙏 Thank You, God, for the gift of life.
