In 1634 a Nun Wrote Exactly What Would Happen Today — It's Happening Now In 1634, in a cloistered convent in Quito, Ecuador, the Virgin Mary appeared to a nun, Mother Mariana de Jesús Torres, and described with startling precision what would happen in our own time: the collapse of the faith, the attack on the family and on the sacraments, the corruption of morals. One of those prophecies — concerning Pope Pius IX — came true to the letter more than two centuries later.
