Not many people realize this, but Honnoji was actually all Matsunaga's doing by putting the blame on the Akechi when he faked his death and killed Nobunaga. This is most certainly not a what if, as the game clearly says this is the truth, so you should all go and see everyone who thinks Mitsuhide betrayed Nobunaga and inform them it was Hisahide Matsunaga all along. But don't really, this is all BS.
