Demolition of Bishop's Inn, Perry Hall, Maryland. Filmed by Albert C. Smith from the 28th-30th December, 1985. Bishop's Inn was located next door to my grandparents home and it's demise was filmed by my grandfather. My grandmother, Myrl Dunty Smith's grandfather, William Dunty Jr., owned the home after he sold the Perry Hall Mansion in 1915. I remember going into the house on Christmas night 1985. They had already started the demolition process and there was a very large hole in the back of the house. We went inside and into the basement. I remember the the support beams were lined with various medicinal bottles. I believe the previous owners family had owned a pharmacy. There were many rooms and the home had been stripped of most of its contents.
