Lalo Salamanca walks into court charged with murder, the judge sets bail at $7 million in cash, and he answers: "I can do that." So how rich were the Salamancas, really? The show never gives us a number. So I went through Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul and even the deleted scenes, and counted every dollar we actually see them touch: Hector's ice cream trucks, the cash hidden in a tire, Tuco's safe, a red Ferrari with hundreds in the trunk, and the $7 million bail. Then I went frame by frame through the stash house to estimate what the cars and the shelves of cash were worth, and found out whose money it really was. Chapters: 0:00 A $7 million cash bail 1:11 Part 1: The Ice Cream Man (Hector) 4:11 Part 2: The Street King (Tuco) 5:34 Part 3: Seven Million (Lalo) 6:45 "I can do that": the $7 million bail 8:21 A Ferrari full of cash for Don Eladio 9:37 Part 4: The Receipt 10:01 Inside the stash house: the cars 11:27 The deleted scene: which bills are on the shelves? 12:31 Whose vault is it? 13:18 Who had more money than the Salamancas? 14:00 Real life: 71 kilos of cash and a lost deposit 14:56 The end of the Salamanca name Every number on screen comes from the episodes. Where the show doesn't give one, like the value of Lalo's hacienda, the cars or the cash on the shelves, the figure is my own estimate from real-world prices, and the video says so.
