How good are Elden Ring's early-game weapons you get right away in Limgrave when you take them into the Shadow Realm? Now I didn't want to just use the usual suspects Bloohound's Fang and Uchigatana because I think almost everyone who played Elden Ring knows those are busted and likely have used them. Instead, I wanted to check other S-Tier weapons that not everyone might know about or have used before! So, I took four weapons that can be obtained very early in Limgrave — Brick Hammer, Reduvia, Bandit's Curved Sword, and Rusted Anchor — and tested them against some of the DLC bosses in Shadow of the Erdtree. The first three weapons were tested against two different DLC bosses, while the Rusted Anchor gets a bonus single-boss fight. I wanted to use simple, practical builds that a normal player could actually put together without stacking a ridiculous number of buffs before every fight. My character being naked is just preference so not required :-) 🧪 My Approach I generally don't enjoy spending several minutes applying a dozen buffs and perfectly min-maxing a build before every boss fight. For these tests, I wanted to keep things practical: Simple builds Level 155 characters Appropriate Scadutree Blessing levels Physick when useful Flame, Grant Me Strength and Golden Vow when appropriate No elaborate buff stacking No summons The goal was to see how these weapons perform when they're built well but still played like something you could realistically use during a normal playthrough. All builds were level 154 - 158: 🧱 Brick Hammer — #3 Scadutree Blessing: 14–15 Build: Strength with enough faith to use Flame grant me Strength and Golden Vow Recommended Talismans: Dragoncrest Shield Talisman Axe Talisman Two-Handed Sword Talisman' Green Turtle Talisman (Somehow I left the Radagon's Soreseal during the Messmer fight - NOT RECOMMENDED) Physick: Opaline Hardtear & Thorny Cracked Tear The Brick Hammer for me shines mainly due to the incredible stance damage. When you can land charged heavy attacks and jumping attacks, DLC bosses can lose their stance surprisingly quickly. 🩸 Reduvia — #2 Build: Dexterity / Arcane Recommended Talismans: Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman Lord of Blood's Exultation Millicent's Prosthesis Shard of Alexander Physick: Opaline Hardtear & Thorny Cracked Tear The Reduvia is really good for ranged attacks and bleed buildup thanks to Reduvia's Blood Blade skill. ⚔️ Bandit's Curved Sword — #1 Build: Dexterity / Arcane Affinity: Blood Scadutree Blessing: 20 Talismans: Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman Lord of Blood's Exultation Millicent's Prosthesis Claw Talisman The Bandit's Curved Sword build is all about aggressive powerstanced jump attacks and rapidly building bleed. POSSIBLY THE MOST BROKEN BUILD IN ELDEN RING IMO ⚓ Rusted Anchor — Bonus Fight Build: Strength Ash of War: Sacred Blade The Rusted Anchor was included as a bonus weapon and only tested against one goofy DLC boss. I kept the build simple rather than trying to squeeze every possible point of damage out of it. #EldenRing #ShadowOfTheErdtree #EldenRingDLC #EldenRingBuilds #FromSoftware #EldenRingWeapons
