Welcome to Episode 8 of our Spiti Valley travel series! In this episode, we travel from Kaza down towards the peaceful and historic town of Sarahan in Himachal Pradesh.
On our way, we stop by Nako for some warm Thukpa and fresh rhododendron juice before heading through Jeori to reach Sarahan. Here, we visit the sacred and architectural marvel—the 800-year-old Bhimakali Temple (one of the 51 holy Shaktipeeths), known for its unique Indo-Tibetan wooden architecture, the ancient Bushahr Palace ruins, and breathtaking views of the Shrikhand Mahadev range. We also explore the local market to try authentic Himachali cuisine: savory and sweet Siddu with desi ghee!
