Leveraging the Rural Health Transformation Program

On October 15, 2026, PAEA hosted a webinar intended to help PA programs and interested stakeholders understand how the Rural Health Transformation Program can support workforce development, expand clinical training capacity, and create practical partnerships in rural and underserved communities.  During the session, participants learned: -How state agencies are allocating Rural Health Transformation funds and identifying workforce development priorities.  -Ways PA programs and other health professions programs may engage in funded initiatives or connect with state program leads.  -Best practices for building sustainable workforce partnerships that support rural access, clinical rotation expansion, and education and training pathways.  -Practical next steps for approaching state rural health offices, local health systems, community organizations, and other partners.
