MERE DIL - Charles Pahlad Vocals & Lyrics

MERE DIL Is a cover of La Paloma Blanca on the 1st LP of The Silver Strings and the Lyrics were written by Charles Pahlad, my late father. Thanks to modern technology, I extracted his voice from the original recording, which was recorded in 1984 in the studio of the late Suky Akkal, and made a new music arrangement in the year 2024. With this new release it is my sincere hope that you can enjoy his voice, once again. Henk Pahlad. Charles Pahlad was an Entrepreneur, Musician and Politician. He made his singing debut in 1961 with the song Pyáse panchi during a wedding with Gemini Orchestra and orchestra leader Harry Mohanlal. He later founded the first Hindustani beat group in Suriname , The Wadia Stars, as well as the OSMI Group and The Silver Strings.
