They looked at the warehouse and said it was too big. They'd never had more than 50 people show up. They used it anyway — and 250 walked through the door. That night there were 10 spontaneous baptisms. And they later found out that United Pursuit used to lead worship in that same room.
That's just one moment in Austin Bradford's story. Austin is the producer of Rooftop Perspectives — but in this conversation with John Whaley, he's the guest. He shares how he went from bartending at 22 and running from God, to driving to Utah alone to hear from him, to losing all his camera gear the week he finally surrendered his identity. And how a men's Bible study he accidentally led in his living room in November 2021 became a movement of over 1,000 young adults in daily community in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Austin also talks about what he's watching happen in his generation — the hunger for real, unperformative relationship, the shift from hype to something deeper, and why he believes the fog is clearing for what God is building next. His takeaway: "Prayer is not a resource for ministry. It is the ministry."
