Aaron Boone

Aaron Boone after the Yankees swept the Red Sox: “Very satisfying to play that well in these two games.” Yankees 9-0. Then 9-2. Red Sox swept. Boston outscored 18-2. On to the Rays. Asked if the margins surprised him: “Oh, yeah. Yes.” He called Boston a scary team, especially the way they pitch — a club that was down and out in the middle of the season and fought its way into October. Then the Yankees’ offense broke loose two nights in a row. “Very satisfying to play that well in these two games… we play like that, we got a chance to beat anybody.” Enjoy it.
