Atchafalaya Basin Wilderness Trail

Many people do not realize that a large section of the West Atchafalaya Basin Levee near Lafayette, LA is an actual trail! It's hard to find information about it, but this video provides an insight to this 55 mile trail. It took 4 trips and over 2 years to complete, but it was well worth the time and a great trail to hike if you want to take in the beauty and uniqueness of the Atchafalaya Basin.
