Boat vlog 2: Solo overnight stay at the Marker Wadden

Hi, I am Jilles. In this video I wanted to document my motor boat experience near Broek in Waterland. For todays little adventure I set my sights on a small mission: visiting the Marker Wadden. The Marker Wadden are the newest part of the Netherlands, a small group of islands, the first of which were finished in 2018. It currently consists out of 5 islands, with one, the main island, being accessible to the public. The other ones are left over to nature: plants and birds mostly. The aim is to create a new ecosystem in a place that used to be the bottom of the sea. The main island has a small marina, and I picked it as my objective. It’s roughly 40km one way, and in the middle of the Markermeer. I had to go through multiple locks, navigate open water and for the first time moor in a marina, where I stayed the night . Anyway, let’s not get ahead of ourselves, and start off with going through the locks in Monnickendam... Please enjoy the video!
