Billy Bob Thornton & The Boxmasters at the Gillioz Theatre, July 5 2026

We were lucky enough to be in attendance for The Boxmasters’ show at the historic theatre in Springfield, Missouri, and it turned into a night we will not forget. The band brought a warm, rootsy rock-and-roll sound that fit the room beautifully, with plenty of vintage energy, strong musicianship, and songs that felt both classic and fresh. Billy Bob Thornton had an easy, natural presence on stage, but what stood out most was that The Boxmasters felt like a true band, not just a name attached to a celebrity. The music was tight, lively, and full of character, with a great mix of rock, country, and old-school rhythm. The historic theatre made the whole evening feel even more special. There is something about seeing live music in a venue with that much charm and history that adds another layer to the experience. The highlight of the night was getting to meet Billy Bob Thornton. Being able to meet him in person made an already great concert feel personal and unforgettable. It was a wonderful night of music, atmosphere, and memories, and we are so glad we were there.
