The OAKEN Shield - Rune Sounds feat. AiRadio197.2FM

NEW STUFF - EPIC SIDE B SONGS The OAKEN Shield - Lyrics by Rune Sounds feat. AiRadio197.2FM [Intro] Raise the oaken shield Let the winter hear our name [Verse 1] At the fjord before first light You tied the red cloth to your spear Salt wind cut across your cheek Still you never showed your fear The longships waited under frost The ravens circled over stone You stepped ahead of every man And claimed the storm as your own [Pre-Chorus] When the iron gates began to shake You lifted fire in your eyes [Chorus] Shieldmaiden, ride into the thunder Shieldmaiden, break the frozen chain With your sisters at your shoulder You turn the tide, you rise again Shieldmaiden, let the north remember Shieldmaiden, carved in ash and flame When the last bell calls the warriors Your fearless heart will lead the way [Verse 2] By noon the valley rang with steel The blacksmith's hammer in the rain You found your brother by the wall And pulled him breathing from the slain No crown was waiting past the hill No song was promised for the brave You fought because the ones you loved Were standing just behind the gate [Pre-Chorus] When the mountain filled with enemy You planted both feet in the ground [Chorus] Shieldmaiden, ride into the thunder Shieldmaiden, break the frozen chain With your sisters at your shoulder You turn the tide, you rise again Shieldmaiden, let the north remember Shieldmaiden, carved in ash and flame When the last bell calls the warriors Your fearless heart will lead the way [Bridge] Oaths are not made for golden halls They live in hands that will not yield Tonight the old gods watch us stand And hear your hammer strike the shield [Breakdown] Who holds the line? We hold the line! Who faces night? We face the night! [Final Chorus] Shieldmaiden, ride into the thunder Shieldmaiden, break the frozen chain With your sisters at your shoulder You turn the tide, you rise again Shieldmaiden, let the north remember Shieldmaiden, carved in ash and flame When the last bell calls the warriors Your fearless heart will lead the way [Outro] Raise the oaken shield Let the winter hear your name Shieldmaiden Shieldmaiden #vikingmetal #airadio #powermetal #vikingsaga #aimusic #nordicsound #nordicmusic #vikingmusic
