Two weeks after the quake: Palanchok village, Kavre

Palanchok village, Kavre, is just one of thousands of villages destroyed in the 7.8 Richter earthquake on April 25, 2015. Two weeks after the earth shook, villagers are still collecting what they can from the rubble while staying under tarpaulins or in makeshift shelters made out of zink sheets salavaged from the rubble. We'll follow the development in Palanchok - where we have come for over a decade as guests - for months to come, as an example of how locals cope in the face of the many huge challenges ahead...
