Free Solo 2026 Episode 12 | Shëngjin to Orikum

A long ride across Albania! In this episode of Free Solo 2026, Pam and I travel from Shëngjin to Orikum, covering a large distance as we continue our motorcycle adventure through the Balkans. This isn't the most spectacular riding day of the journey, but some days are all about making progress and reaching the next destination. We leave Shëngjin behind and head south through Albania, looking for interesting backroads and twisty sections away from the main highway. Finding great curves proves more difficult than expected. The roads are busy, the temperatures are high, and the Albanian summer is in full swing. Our route takes us through Vorë, before continuing towards the coastal cities of Durrës and Vlorë. Along the way, we experience everyday Albania, with busy roads, local traffic, and endless kilometres rolling beneath our wheels. As we approach Orikum, roadworks force us to take a short detour. Fortunately, it's nothing more than a minor inconvenience and soon we're back on track. At the end of the day, we finally arrive in Orikum, located on the beautiful Albanian Riviera. After a long and hot ride, it's time to relax by the sea and enjoy that unmistakable holiday feeling. Not every day is about dramatic mountain passes or famous landmarks. Sometimes it's simply about the freedom of the open road, discovering a new country, and enjoying the journey. Another day, another adventure. This is Free Solo 2026.
