UTA and FrontRunner Celebrate 15 Years

UTA marked the 15th Anniversary of FrontRunner service for millions of riders along the Wasatch Front on April 26, 2023. With then-Governor Gary Herbert’s support, FrontRunner launched its initial service on this date in 2008. Fifteen years later, UTA Board of Trustees Chairman Carlton Christensen, UTA Executive Director Jay Fox, and Teri Newell, Deputy Director of Planning and Investment at the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT), celebrated this momentous milestone at the Salt Lake Central Station.
