Flying Bees 《蜂飞》 | Shanghai Chinese Orchestra | Philharmonie de Paris 2018 A dazzling musical chase at full speed. Flying Bees 《蜂飞》 reimagines Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s famous Flight of the Bumblebee through the sound world of Chinese traditional instruments. Arranged by Kong Zhixuan (孔志轩), the piece becomes a virtuosic dialogue between strings, winds and percussion, with the instruments constantly answering, challenging and chasing one another. This performance was recorded at the Philharmonie de Paris as part of The 2018 Grand Chinese New Year Concert / Le Grand Concert 2018 du Nouvel An Chinois. 🎵 Flying Bees 《蜂飞》 Original composition: Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov Arrangement: Kong Zhixuan (孔志轩) Shanghai Chinese Orchestra Conducted by Muhai Tang Erhu 二胡: Ding Long Shaoqin: Chen Shi Ruan 中阮: Li Lin 李霖 Sheng 笙: Zhao Zhen 赵臻 Percussion 打击乐: Wang Yinrui 王音睿 A production of Wu Promotion Recorded at Philharmonie de Paris Production with Medici.tv #ChineseMusic #FlyingBees #FlightOfTheBumblebee #ShanghaiChineseOrchestra #ChineseNewYearConcert
