Picked up a new sled the other day. This is a 1997 Arctic Cat Jag 440 Deluxe. This sled has 1800 original miles with one owner. This past spring I bought a 1996 Arctic Cat Puma 340 Deluxe from the same owner. That had only 1200 miles and again he was the original owner. The reason I am so interested in these sleds are they came with every single document you could have, dealership, owner's manual, everything. The Puma only needed some gas in the cylinders to get it to fire and start pumping gas right away. Unfortunately, this Jag needed more. I paid $250 for the Puma but because this one was a bit more powerful and studded I gave the gentleman $300 as a token of my gratitude. This sled has the potential to be a really good reliable sled. Over the years of sitting a lot of little things went wrong. Varnished gas ruined a lot of the lines and fuel pump, and the mice got to the airbox. After all the work it's running now, though I still can get the idle right. My assumption is the carb needs a good cleaning. I will wait on this though, right now it's cold outside and I don't have access to my usual shop space. I will try riding it in the future to see if it's one of those deals where it figures itself out. Otherwise, everything is good with it and I am happy and excited to ride! I will make an updated video in the future going over how it runs when we have snow (if that ever happens). ►►► Enjoy The Video?
