Kelsey and Jared | 5-30-26 We love a Duhawk wedding! Kelsey attended Loras College, and while Jared didn't, he's an honorary Duhawk. Their wedding day was full of joy, smiles, happy tears, and so much love. The wedding day started with Kelsey and her bridesmaids getting ready at the Hotel Julien Dubuque in the iconic Al Capone Suite. We love the old-world vibes you get in this space! While we had downtime, we were able to grab some of Kelsey's family and friends for video messages and everyone did such a great job. We love capturing these! Once Kelsey was dressed, we did first looks with her bridesmaids and grandmothers. Very special moments! Kelsey and Jared were saving their first look for the aisle, so after Kelsey was dressed we met Jared and his groomsmen downstairs for some photos. Then it was time for Kelsey's first look with her dad. Again, another very special moment! Kelsey's dad had something even more special planned for her, though. He surprised her with a vintage car to take them to the church! We love that he did this and had so much fun using the drone to capture them driving away. The wedding ceremony was at Christ the King Chapel on Loras College's campus. Kelsey invited a Priest from her childhood to do the ceremony, which was beautiful! We really enjoyed the perspective and love he brought to the day. Afterward, we got so many fun and beautiful shots of the bridesmaids, groomsmen, bridal party, and with the couple. We were all set for the reception! The reception at the Hotel Julien was so beautiful and fun. From the moment Kelsey and Jared entered the reception, it was a party. The speeches were heartfelt and personal, the dances were special, and everyone packed the dance floor when the time came. Failure to Launch killed it! From start to finish, this was an extraordinary wedding day and we loved capturing it all for Kelsey and Jared.
