Today’s message by Messianic Pastor Mike Cohen: "Zechariah 9: G-d's Labor for Israel" This week double Parashah: "Nitzavim-Vayelech" (You Are Standing-And He Went) Deuteronomy 29:10 – 31:30 Today’s Drash by: Elder Nick Vetter In Nitzavim, Moses describes the Covenant between God and the Israelites, urging the Israelites to uphold the Covenant and honor the Torah so that they may be rewarded with life in the Land of Israel. In this Parashah we read some of the most beautiful words of exhortation we will find in all of Scripture. In Vayelech, Moses blesses Joshua and commissions Joshua with the task of leading Israel to the Land. He then commands an assembly for a public Torah reading and covenant renewal once every seven years. He then finishes writing the scroll of the Torah and has it deposited in the Holy of Holies next to the Ark of the Covenant. As we enter the season of the High Holy Days, we should take time for self-reflection and repentance, remembering that it's not just about saying "I am sorry", but rather fully turning back to God with our hearts, minds, and the way we live our lives.
