POV: Faez’s Journey to the Summit of Mount Kinabalu | 5–6 Sept | I Finally Made It!

Alhamdulillah, I finally made it to the top of Mount Kinabalu. This was, without a doubt, the hardest hike I’ve ever done. Hiking Mount Kinabalu on the 5th–6th of September 2025 really pushed me beyond my limits especially with my sudden knee injury. I honestly didn’t expect it to be this tough, both physically and mentally but SubhanAllah, Allah truly tests us in ways that remind us of our own strength and His mercy. Every step tested my endurance, and there were moments I thought I wouldn’t make it. I’m so thankful to Allah for allowing and easing our journey safely. I’m deeply thankful for all the warm wishes, the people who believed in me, and most importantly, my parents for allowing and supporting me through this journey. I’m also so grateful to the amazing group I hiked with — I truly couldn’t have asked for a better team. Together, we created lifetime memories that I’ll never forget. This journey wasn’t just about reaching the summit, but about learning sabr, appreciation — for every step, every hardship, and the beauty of tawakkul — trusting Allah’s plan even when things don’t go smoothly. I also want to sincerely apologize for any wrongdoings, harsh words, or moments when I fell short. May Allah forgive and bless us all for the effort we put in. Truly, this climb was more than just a hike — it was a reminder that every mountain, no matter how high, can be conquered with faith, sabr, and a grateful heart.
