[0:07] will visit the shrine of Brother Joseph Thambi in Peddavatupally. I will show you this shrine by explaining the life history of Brother Joseph Thambi.

[0:25] this is the empty parking area for you . Brother Joseph Thambi was born on November 11, 1890.
[0:36] He died on January 15, 1945. On June 24, 2007, the country called Vatican City
[0:46] declared him a servant of God. Servant of God, what you are seeing now
[0:52] is the tomb of Joseph Thambi. How
[0:59] was the tomb built? Inside the tomb is the tomb of Joseph Thambi. You can see how the inside of this tomb looks like. I will show you the whole thing. I will also explain it to you.
[1:12] Joseph Thambi was born on November 11, 1890, in Saigon, Vietnam, to Savarimuthu Thambi Annamalai
[1:20] . When Brother Joseph Thambi was born, his
[1:25] parents were working there. When Brother Joseph Thambi was two years old,
[1:32] the family returned to their native India, Pondicherry. His younger brother Michael Darian
[1:40] was born in India. When Brother Joseph Thambi was seven years old,
[1:46] his mother died and his father remarried. At the age of one, Thambi left home and joined the missionary force.
[1:57] Devotees have testimonies that Brother Joseph Thambi has spiritual gifts . Some of them are that he has the gift of predicting certain events in advance.
[2:09] He has the gift of praying effectively for the sick. Devotees believe that he
[2:15] has special spiritual gifts such as spiritual discernment
[2:21] . According to many eyewitnesses, every
[2:27] Friday afternoon at around three o'clock , he would bleed from
[2:34] wounds similar to the wounds of the cross of Jesus on his hands, feet and neck. This
[2:41] is what is called stigmata in Christian tradition. Another is that
[2:47] he predicted his death. According to the witnesses of the devotees, he was told in advance that he would die on January 15, 1945, and
[2:54] it is recorded that he went to heaven on the same day.

[3:42] the Franciscan Third Order, but thousands of people respected him as a holy man because of his life, service, and prayer power.
[3:56] He lived a very simple life. He walked barefoot most of the time, wore very simple clothes, and did not accumulate money for himself.
[4:09] He distributed most of what he received through alms to the poor.
[4:15] He preached the gospel by walking between villages. In the days when there was no transportation facility,
[4:21] he used to go to Kalinada in the villages around Vijayawada and pray with the people, preach faith, visit families, and pray for the sick.
[4:35] Many families have joined the Christian faith because of him. You can see this on
[4:42] Brother Joseph Thambi's YouTube channel . It is said that devotees come here, cook meals, eat and leave peacefully.
[4:53] You can see that there is a shed here to hold many programs in this shrine. It is said that big functions are also

[6:15] One thing we should note in the life of Brother Joseph Thambi is that he was not a priest, just a brother, but his life proved that God
[6:22] does extraordinary things through ordinary people . It is said that he came to Andhra Pradesh in 1937.
[6:32] In 1939, he settled in Pedda Outapilla and started praying and believing in the people there.
[6:39] Teaching helped the poor.
