Tonight, The Old Ink Society presents The Tomb of Sarah a chilling Victorian vampire story by F. G. Loring first published in The Pall Mall Magazine in December 1900.
When a man is commissioned to restore an old English church, he discovers a centuries-old tomb belonging to a woman named Sarah, who died in 1630. An inscription warns that her remains must never be disturbed.
Published just three years after Bram Stoker's *Dracula*, this lesser-known Gothic tale draws upon ancient vampire folklore, mysterious burials, and the terrifying possibility that the dead may not always remain at rest.
