Bhagavad Gita As It Is : Verse 1.35 Summary 1. Arjuna did not want to fight because he feared losing all his relatives and friends. Then what is the use of gaining the kingdom? 2. A devotee accepts or rejects material wealth and opulence according to Krsna’s desire and uses everything for His service. 3. Arjuna did not know that Krsna had already killed the warriors and that he was only meant to become Krsna’s instrument. Practical Application Being humble is a better quality than being right. In many situations when I am treated "unfairly" and it does not affect my service to the Lord, I would try to practice the quality of forgiveness and humility.
