Annette Hanshaw sings "We Love It" in her own inimitable style, with excellent solos by her accompanists on this occasion, Rube Bloom and Jimmy Lytell. This was her very last Pathe recording, before switching to Columbia and its associated cheaper labels (Harmony, Diva, Clarion and Velvet Tone).
By this stage, Pathe were recording electrically using their own system, which has a rather 'boxy' sound compared to the superior Western Electric system used by Victor and Columbia. In July 1929, the assets of the American Pathe record company were merged into the newly formed American Record Corporation (ARC).
Rust lists Harry Reser on banjo, but I cannot hear a banjo anywhere on this side.
