Whippin Water in October #fishing #flyfishing #trout #troutfishing #trippinontrout #whippinwater

Beautiful fall colors, crisp cool air, overcast and fly rods in hand. Sam and I enjoyed October 11 on the water. Nice fish in the both of our nets and a real stinger that haunted me like Halloween all day - analyzing what I did wrong and how I could have done a better job of angling on an upstream hookset on a very large Rainbow. We all miss fish that we know we should have caught and have to give props to the fish with its massive headshakes and upstream charge! Well played!
