Materials: 2 pieces of cotton (scraps are great!) 8 1/2 x 2 1/4 1 piece of batting or sewable interfacing 8 1/2 x 2 1/4 If you want to adjust the measurements, great! Just make sure all 2 pieces are the same size. Instructions: -Place the 2 cotton outer pieces right sides together -Place the batting on top of that. -Sew all the way around at a scant 1/4 leaving at least a 1 inch opening. Back stitch and beginning and end -Clip corners -Turn right side out -Press -Sew at 1/8 all the way around back stitching at beginning and end You may end here if you like... OR -Drop your feed dogs -put stitch length to 0 -put free motion foot on your machine (you may need to up your tension slightly) Practice on some scraps to make sure your thread tension looks good -using the motifs shown in the video or something else you want to try, free motion quilt on your bookmark
