Reluctantly we are selling our Daf T 244 Daisy.
She has served us well since she was built, including a trip to Portugal.
Specifications
The habitation box and separate torque chassis where professionally built in Oldham by LGF.
Separate sprung frame and habitation box with internal roll cage,
box made from 50mm fibreglass coated insulation, with 100mm in the floor. High quality windows ,door, and roof vents also fitted by LGF. Professionally painted (in a massive heated 'oven' ) by local coach refinisher.
Complete refurbishment of the cab, huge amount of new wiring (extra 14 fuses) all done by professional vehicle wiring expert, insulated and repainted, Sprung heated smart car seats, custom centre dash and extra heater, cb radio, controls moved to front of console, navigation screen radio etc.
Extra gauges for new turbo etc, military lighting system rewired to be conventional, extra spot lights, new headlining, recovered doors, USB charge points et etc
Habitation Box,, completely custom bathroom, full size rain shower, separate sink and toilet, plenty of cupboard space, heated.
Main saloon area two full size wardrobes, two 4 drawer cupboards for clothes, slide out for emergency (or quick stop) ladder. full size fridge and freezer, TV, many kitchen cupboards. 3 burner cooker, extractor, Electric bed lift, rises into ceiling when not in use (makes for a big improvement in space
•3 usb charge points, 4 different lighting systems, electric roof extractor, The electrics are all discretely hidden , hot air gas heating and water heater. all pipes are insulated properly, all electrics are run in trunking etc etc no expense spared.
Water system, three tanks split into two systems, to spread the weight in the event of an accident, grey water tank and one of the water tanks are custom made 150 litre stainless steel rubber mounted tanks that are fitted between the chassis rails outside
(for weight distribution) 220 AH AGM batteries for habitation box ( all 24v systems|)
Custom one off front bumper, 720 watts solar power, roof rack, roof rails New Holstet 'hybrid' turbo, exhaust brake, custom 3 in stainless exhaust system
Ex Royal engineers truck and seems to be well taken care of, 35000 miles (if you believe the military speedo) but she feels very tight and the engine is as sweet as a nut, gearbox changed to later one to give higher cruising speed at less revs, new Clutch, slave and master cycylinder, new fuel pipes, many new o rings etc etc everything done to make her as reliable as possible.
Side mounted steps (2 mins to attach) with handrail, side awning, two gas bottles, two toilet cassettes (one never used) many spares, 3 lower side lockers, two external lockers in habitation box. table and chairs in custom cupboard, large 'tool box' to rear of truck, hidden easy access traction mats, very recent full service etc
Victron invertor, Simpson battery charger, (we havent had to use the charger since she was built, the solar keeps the batteries fine) Epever solar controller (brilliant). Roof rails, cab a and habitation box both have professionally made 12 volt and a 24 volt systems, all fully fused
Built properly, as light as safe to do so, I drive it on a C1 licence, no expense spared, stored inside for the winters.
I am sure I have missed loads of features off!
