Ingredients:
For the meatballs:
2 lbs ground beef or any other ground meat of your choice
2 bunches chopped methi
1 medium sized onion finely chopped
5 cloves garlic finely chopped
1.5 tsp cumin powder
2.5 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
1 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
3 tbsp bread crumbs
1 egg
1 tsp salt or to taste
For the curry:
1 large onion finely sliced
1 cup chopped tomato
2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp kitchen king masala
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp kashmiri chilli powder
Directions:
1) Combine all ingredients "For the meatballs" in a bowl and mix well.
2) Make small golf ball sized meatballs and keep aside.
3) To a pan, add a couple of tablespoons of oil and turn on stove to medium heat. Once oil is heated up, add the onions and fry till lightly golden brown.
4) Next, add in the ginger/ garlic paste and fry for 3-4 minutes till we no longer get the raw smell.
5) Then, add the spices "for the curry" and fry for a couple of minutes and add a little bit of water so the spices don't stick to the pan and burn.
6) Add the tomatoes and fry again till tomatoes disintegrate. Add some more water.
7) Next, add in the meatballs, one by one and gently give the pot a shake taking care not to break the meatballs. Cook on medium heat for about 30 minutes. Stir periodically.
8) Turn off the heat and garnish with some coriander leaves. Enjoy with steamed white rice or roti.
