DELHI, October 6, 2026 — Asia Society Policy Institute (ASPI), Delhi, hosted a conversation between The Honourable Dr. Kevin Rudd AC, Global President and CEO of Asia Society, and Ambassador Harsh Vardhan Shringla, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, on “Asia’s Geopolitical Future." The wide-ranging conversation focused on Asia’s evolving strategic architecture and the forces likely to shape its geopolitical future, and the prospects for managed strategic competition between the United States and China, Beijing’s leadership and evolving global strategic outlook, and the future trajectory of India-China and U.S.-China relations. The two leaders also shared perspectives on Australia’s and India’s growing role in shaping the regional and global order, and their respective relationships with China. The conversation also explored India’s economic growth and its implications for the country’s strategic influence, as well as opportunities for deeper engagement and cooperation across the Indo-Pacific, and most importantly, the future of the Quad.
