S3 Replays: Bucket of Crab Tanks: The Rerun (Reminiscing Replays)

Bucket of Crab Tanks is easily the most unique Special weapon challenge. Instead of strong passive special charge to use the special a lot, they buffed the strafing speed of the Crab Tanks to rival Swimming speed. Pretty crazy, but also pretty fun, if you don't get Spawn camped into a Knockout, that is. Despite the mode still being Zones, I seem to remember this pair of maps (Mahi and Flounder) being harder to quickly KO on then the first pair this challenge was hosted on (Crableg and Wahoo). Just like the first time around, there were still only 6 weapon kits with Crab Tank, and all the main weapons fare about the same against their own special, give or take, meaning a pretty big determiner of success was Sub Weapons: Only two of these kits have great sub weapons for fighting Crab: Splat Dualies and Heavy Edit (with Suction Bomb and Splat Bomb, respectively.) So naturally, these two had an advantage in this challenge, if you could play the Mains well. The next tier down, Splash's mobility and Burst bombs were also pretty good, just not as much against Crabs. I'd also put Stamper about on par with Splash, because despite it having Mist as a Sub (which does nothing to Crab) . . . well, it's Splatana Stamper. Then lastly, L-3 Nozzlenose and Splattershot Pro. Pro has angle shooter. Enough said. As for L-3, I didn't use it, and I didn't see enough of it used to know if the main and it's Curling Bomb held up compared to the other weapons.
