As I walked around Wageningen, a small city in the east of the Netherlands, I saw one glaringly obvious solution to improve its sustainability and stormwater management. With its lie so close to the river Rhine, as well as its parent soil material largely being clay, effective stormwater management is a must-have for them in order to reduce the chance of flooding and improve the liveability of their city.
