The walk starts in Dyker Heights at 14th Avenue, before progressing into the heart of the Bensonhurst part of 86th Street. After a few days of bad smoke conditions in the area, the winds have finally shifted and ushered in much cleaner air. 86th Street is home to restaurants, eatieries, and many retail shops. I have also started to notice an increase in street vendor activity. Home to a very diverse culture of people, it is always busy and there is always something to see. Also on 86th street, you will find the D Train which runs above on the El along 86th Street from 18th Avenue to 25th Avenue before turning towards Coney island on Stillwell Avenue. As far as fame, 86th Street has been featured in numerous films such as The French Connection, Saturday Night Fever and John Wick 3. All in all, a good walk to sit back and explore without any timestamps. Weather was great, air quality was great, and a good way to end the walking week.
