Fixing the Basement & the prodigal cat

My cat Appa returned home after 3 years of living on the other side of the river. He would be seen by the neighbours regularly. The cats probably fought in the basement, causing the faucet to turn on, flooding the basement. This propelled me into taking action to try and fix the problem before the rainy season arrives again.
