EPIC MILFORD SOUND CRUISE! 🇳🇿 Up Close to Waterfalls (Mitre Peak Cruise)

Welcome to Day 10 of our New Zealand adventure! Today we are visiting the world-famous Milford Sound for one of the absolute highlight experiences of our entire NZ road trip. We booked with Mitre Peak Cruises, which is known for its smaller, custom-built boats. Because of the size of our vessel, we were able to venture right out to the open Tasman Sea and get insanely close to massive, cascading waterfalls—close enough to feel the spray of the falls! We sail the full 16km length of the fiord, looking up at the majestic peak of Mitre Peak and the towering cliffs on either side. Since this tour has smaller passenger numbers and can navigate closer to the shoreline than the massive tourist boats, we truly felt like we got the best, most immersive experience of this breathtaking natural wonder. From driving the spectacular Milford Road to taking in the ancient landscapes on the cruise, this day is something we will never forget!
