MineInsight Evidence-Governed Orebody Intelligence and Drilling Decision Support MineInsight is a proposed AI-powered decision-support platform designed to help mining companies better understand mineral deposits, reduce geological uncertainty and make more informed exploration and drilling decisions. Mining companies rely on drillholes, laboratory assays, geological surveys and expert interpretations to understand what lies beneath the ground. However, these measurements are incomplete, expensive to obtain and sometimes inconsistent. MineInsight aims to transform this fragmented information into reliable predictions and evidence-backed recommendations. GenericML enables geologists and other domain experts to train, test and compare machine-learning models using their own datasets. Through AutoML, automated feature and model discovery, and predictive ensembles, the system can investigate mineral-grade distributions, uncertainty and potential exploration opportunities while maintaining human-in-the-loop control. GenericKG provides the knowledge and evidence-management layer. It connects geological observations, assay results, model predictions, historical records and expert interpretations, preserving their origins, relationships and uncertainties. This allows users to investigate why predictions were made and whether the supporting evidence is reliable. Together, these technologies could help mining teams determine not only where valuable mineralisation may exist, but also where further drilling is most likely to improve an important decision. Initial pilot: MineInsight would be evaluated using suitable Western Australian copper exploration data, comparing its predictions against conventional geological estimation methods. Results would be tested for accuracy, uncertainty, evidence traceability and drilling-decision value. Potential benefits: Better-targeted exploration, reduced unnecessary drilling, improved geological understanding, more reproducible analysis and transparent, defensible decision-making. The project is seeking mining industry collaborators to provide geological expertise, assist with validation and explore opportunities for a practical demonstration. MineInsight remains a proposed research pilot; its predictive and commercial benefits must be independently demonstrated.
