INTRODUCTION ══════════════════
It has been a hot minute since I posted anything solo wise, and of course it is an update to my favourite spec's solo build! I had planned to release this a little sooner, however I was holding out for the new relics that were due to be released on 12.05/2026, and I am glad I did as one of them is quite literally a perfect relic for what I was needing / missing on this build.
So what has changed since the last variant I uploaded of this? Well, sadly Troubadour received 3 nerfs (yes, nerfs) to its damage output, with 2 of them being nerfs to condition damage variants (yes, to the variant that doesn't even really exist cause it is already that weak). Compounding Power received a condition damage per stack nerf (and an undocumented strike damage per stack nerf) and Chaotic Persistence lost 150 expertise, and all of these hit Troubadour condi wise quite a bit. Did it get compensations in the Troubadour trait line like how Virtuoso did? Of course not, cause why would Troubadour's existence be acknowledged in PvE by anet? /s (yes I am still rather vexed by the fact there has been virtually 0 changes to Troubadour in PvE on a technical standpoint / QoL, and it has only had a handful of bug fixes).
The damage in the last video was artificially inflated due to free regeneration via chaos armour that regularly applied due to the ticking damage in the Special Forces Training Area - which is unrealistic in real fights, so Harp does need to be used quite rotationally to keep regeneration up. Since the 14.04.2026 patch as well, everything has lost damage, hence this plummeting all the way down to 17.9k from 21k+
Due to the expertise loss, Signet of Midnight is more favourable now over Tale of the Soulkeeper, so the build has pretty much reverted back to the original variant I uploaded on 13/12/2025 but with some slight trait adjustments (this is explained more in the pinned comment).
This variant does have a much healthier and more reliable boon profile than the version shared on 24/02/2026, more innate utility and in my opinion a lot more sustain. Unfortunately the clunky'ness of instruments is still apparent, and to keep up your boons on this variant, there is quite a reliance on Persistence of Memory and getting aoe boons back from your phantasms, which can be instantly nuked by so many attacks in the open world, but it is just one of those things you have to work with ultimately! I can but only pray there will be some Troubadour love in the 14/07/2026 balance patch.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask in the comments!

The relic that is being used is Relic of the Cruel Overseer: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Reli... - which gives you more constant healing rotationally, opposed to bursts of healing from Relic of Nourys. I personally prefer this as it pairs well with your Harp passive and regeneration (and it also doesn't make you grow big, which is massive for me as growing big with Nourys relic really broke my immersion TwT) and then you can use the cast of Harp, Lively Lute casts and Signet of the Ether as more bursty healing.
If you wanted more bursts of sustain, and slightly more damage (around 18.6k), you can just run Relic of Nourys instead without changing a single thing on the build, but that is entirely up to you! I most definitely recommend only Cruel Overseer or Nourys though.
